Manual Mounting as it applies to Windows, and I have searched on this forum and elsewhere but have not found a solution.Īny suggestions and ideas would be appreciated. Create a folder you want to share on your Operating System. I am able to connect to a USB drive plugged into the host. Here is the output of 5 sequential runs of the same command to verify the repository, you can see that some detect errors and others dont. Host is Ubuntu 圆4 16.04 using Virtualbox 5.1.12 Guest is Ubuntu Mint 圆4 16.10. Setting the mount point to the letter Z did not help. I am seeing intermittent file corruption when checking a borgbackup repository via a Shared Folder. I want to move the mount point from /media/sfshare to simply /srv so that on my windows host I can edit files and they show up under /srv. I have tried a number things, including re-installing Guest Additions and verifying the presence of Guest Additions, but the folders do not appear. Virtualbox mounts the shared folder in /media/sfshare (the name I gave to the shared folder in the virtualbox settings was share ). I just got a Windows 10 VM running but I am unable to see the host folders in Windows Explorer. The log for the Windows 10 VM list both packages. I have what I believe to be the correct (and same) versions of the Extension Pack and Guest Additions (VBoxGuestAdditions_6.0.24.iso) installed for two VMs, one running Windows 7 and the other Windows 10, on a Linux host, both VMs sharing the same Oracle VM VirtualBox Manager.
